We’re CoppaFeel!, the breast cancer awareness charity with one clear mission: to get this nation checking their boobs more regularly in order to catch breast cancer early.
Almost 50,000 women and 400 men get diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK each year. 5% of those diagnosed are already at stage 4. There is no stage 5. CoppaFeel! was set up by Kristin Hallenga in 2009. At 22 Kristin was told she was “too young to get breast cancer”. This meant that her cancer was diagnosed late and could only be treated, never cured. Kristin lives with secondary breast cancer and runs the charity full-time.
We want to ensure that all breast cancers are diagnosed at the earliest stage possible. Making treatments more effective and survival rates higher. The sooner we educate young people about the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, the sooner they’ll be able to spot when something’s not right and be confident in seeking treatment. Early.
We need people like you to take on half marathons to ensure we can continue our life-saving work. In return we will shower you with boob love, give you the opportunity to run wearing one of our giant boobs, offer your a free (super stylish) running vest and offer you as much support as you need.
